H.E. Isidro González Afonso, Ambassador of Spain to Sudan resident in Cairo, visited the new premises of CCST in Port Sudan.
The Ambassador appreciated the fact of having the building fully working thanks to solar energy.
The Ambassador met the Coordinator of the Palliative Care Volunteers, Christina Francis, the head of Department of Auxiliary Sciences,
Dr. Mohja Marhoom and the Program Coordinator of the BSc in Nursing Sciences,
PhD Halima Ali and visited the Nursing Skills Lab and the Palliative Care Hospice-Nursing Clinic.
The Ambassador also greeted the team that administers the College Learning Management System, Wisdom Asungaga,
the virtual tutor, Sara Gabriel, the Assistants to academic Affairs, Rogaia Ibrahim, and to the registrar, Noha Al-Khair.
One of the members of the English Department, Garang Wuee, explained to the ambassador the work of translation
of 1,200 business plans presented by persons with disabilities for a project headed by the Italian NGO AISPO and funded by AICS.
The Principal of the College and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Fr. Jorge Naranjo, reported him about the ongoing projects with
Spanish academic institutions like Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (EAGLE Erasmus Project), Universitat Ramon Llull (Linguistic pairs program)
and Universitat Catolica de Valencia (NET-CARE: INNOVATION IN NURSING AND PALLIATIVE CARE – PORT SUDAN).
